IAS Curriculum
The curriculum of the Institute for the Advancement of Service (IAS) focuses on the dynamic relationship between soul development, service, and leadership and is based on two philosophical tenets: the participation in one’s healing process (self-transformation) and the willingness to extend unconditionally that healing to others (service). Susan Trout’s The Soul and Service Trilogy is the foundation of the Institute’s teachings and practices. The Trilogy consists of Born to Serve: The Evolution of the Soul Through Service (1997); The Awakened Leader: Leadership as a Classroom of the Soul (2005); and The Clarion Call: Leadership and Group Life in the Aquarian Era (2009). The content of the Institute’s curriculum is multidisciplinary and incorporates the works and writings of related authors and approaches.
The IAS curriculum is didactic and experiential and teaches psychospiritual concepts and tools for inner work and personal, group, and organizational wellbeing. Individuals can participate in a variety of approaches at different depths. Trainings, workshops, studies, and practices are available at various times throughout the year. All activities are led by trained presenters and include texts, books, training manuals, and educational materials developed by the Institute. Certificates of Attendance are available for use in applying for CEU units.
